Absentee Ballot Rejections in N.H.
I knew lots of New Hampshire voter would be casting an absentee ballot for the first time in 2020, as the state expanded its historically strict eligibility rules to accommodate anyone concerned about COVID-19. I also knew the state’s absentee voting processes could be confusing, so I used federal and state data to assemble a guide to the most common mistakes and how to avoid them. I also built a tool to help voters find out the most common absentee voting errors flagged in their local precincts.
